“Juicy and succulent, this isn't an overly serious Cab but is seriously fun. Think barbeques and kicking back in the beach chair.”

“Quite layered and complex for the price, its rich textural component from lees contact and French oak is complemented by bright acidity that gives the wine structure.”

USA TODAY – CHEERS TODAY’S BARGAIN WINE BUYS by Jerry Shriver (July 20, 2006)

“This friendly little wine delivers exactly what I think a $12 Chardonnay should deliver: pleasant and varietally correct tropical fruit flavors, a medium body with a touch of buttery richness, and no bitterness in the finish.”

HI-RISER BROWARD (June 29, 2006)
Turner Road Vineyards’ Soil Welcomes All Grape Varieties
“Undoubtedly one of the best Chardonnay wine values in this very affordable price range. The wine is made to be open and fruity in the true California style of winemaking. The wine’s light and attractive color announces the prominent aromas of pineapple, citrus, melon and vanilla. These aromas continue right through to the flavor where they are joined by pear and a hint of butterscotch in the background. We found this to be a wine that is very easy to drink, enjoyable and an excellent buy for the money.”

SANTÉ (January 1, 2006)
“Evocative of an island paradise, this wine shows aromas and flavors of pineapple and citrus balanced by crisp acidity. The finish is fresh and lingering, Pair with grilled fish, lobster, chicken in white wine sauce, fettuccine Alfredo, stir fry, vegetable risotto, or mild, soft to firm cheeses.”

2005 CENTRAL COAST MERLOT

USA TODAY – CHEERS TODAY’S BARGAIN WINE BUYS by Jerry Shriver (December 15, 2006)
Holiday Cheer
“If you're throwing a holiday bash featuring heavy hors d'oeuvres, this would be a decent red to stock at the bar next to the eggnog. It's easy to drink, has mainstream plum and cherry flavors that hold your interest, and creates the sensation that you're giving your guests a modest little present. It should pair nicely with a variety of nibbles, from cheese balls to those little sausage thingies wrapped in pastry.”

SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS (September 13, 2006)

HI-RISER BROWARD (June 29, 2006)
Turner Road Vineyards’ Soil Welcomes All Grape Varieties
“A soft, smooth and full-flavored red wine that can accompany many foods, from grilled or roasted meats and seafood to pasta dishes. This ruby colored wine exhibits a bright cherry/berry aroma and a positive plum and cherry flavor with a hint of mint, vanilla and oak in the background. The finish of this wine is as fruity as the flavor, with raspberry and blueberries being the most obvious. While Merlot wines are getting to be commonplace, this wine is a refreshing change from the ordinary.”

SANTÉ (January 1, 2006)
“The temperate climate of California’s acclaimed Central Coast wine region is ideal for the cultivation of world-class Merlot. The 2004 vintage displays rich cherry fruit, smooth texture, and gentle spice tones that make this variety a favorite of red wine lovers. Pair with grilled steak, pork chops, or roast duck”

2005 LODI PINOT GRIGIO

LUXURY WEB MAGAZINE (September 2006)

SCHAUMBURG DAILY (July 26, 2006)
Pinot Grigio Getting a Chance in the Spotlight
“A satisfying fruit salad of flavors – pear – nectarine – apple focused with lemony acidity.”

HI-RISER BROWARD (June 29, 2006)
Turner Road Vineyards’ Soil Welcomes All Grape Varieties
“This wine is alive with the aromas of pear, melon, flowers, cinnamon and nutmeg. These aromas carry over to the flavor and linger in the mouth long after the wine has been finished.  Do not, under any circumstance, miss this wine. It’s just too good to let pass, and we are sure you will agree that it is simply terrific.”

BEVERAGE SPECTRUM (May 1, 2006)
“… produced from 100% Lodi Pinot Grigio grapes, offering fresh, delicate aromas of apple, pear, nectarine, and lychee nut.”

2004 LODI SHIRAZ

USA TODAY – CHEERS TODAY’S BARGAIN WINE BUYS by Jerry Shriver (January 3, 2007)
On the Right Path
“Too many Shirazs in this price range over-emphasize the sweet aspects of the grape at the expense of its savory qualities, but that's not the case here. Serious plum and herbal flavors predominate, then give way to a pleasingly earthy and faintly bitter finish. The body is medium-weight and the tannins are smooth, and the wine went very well with the leftover spareribs and sauerkraut I had made for New Year's Day.”

2003 LODI SHIRAZ

Dan Berger’s Vintage Experiences (February 23, 2006)
Bargain of the Week
“Plum and spice notes along with a bit of cherry mark the aroma of this medium-weight wine that delivers solid flavors and a nice, dry finish. A serious wine at an extremely fair price.”

SANTÉ (January 1, 2006)
“Vibrant, deep red/purple color and exhibits generous dark berry fruit aromas and flavors. The wine has an attractive structure of ripe, concentrated fruit supported by fine oak influences. Enjoy with rack of lamb, grilled sirloin, barbecued hamburgers, spare ribs and hard cheeses.”

Branford ReviewBranford, CT (October 8, 2005)
“Lodi, an expansive central California area that once provided high volume wine for mass consumption is now becoming a recognizable entity in itself. It’s developing its own viniferous identity. Warm days and cool nights make Syrah a perfect grape to grow here. Rich black fruit flavors and soft tannins, this Syrah, otherwise known as Shiraz, is the perfect barbecue wine.”

San Francisco Chronicle (September 22, 2005)
Winning Picks for Tailgating
“Excellent wines are coming from Lodi, and Syrah is a star performer. Turner Road is turning out top-notch bottlings lately and the Shiraz is no exception - it's rich, full and lush.”

THE TENNESSEAN (July 18, 2005)
More $$$ Yields More Layers with Australian Shiraz
“Lodi is known for its zinfandel but the syrah grape (shiraz) does well there too. This wine was straightforward and ready to drink, with ripe plum and cherry flavors with hints of spice.”

WINE ENTHUSIAST (June 1, 2005)
Best Buys – 85 points
“Dark, full-bodied and dry, this wine has bigtime flavors of black cherries and blackberries. It’s also rich in dusty tannins. Has balance, and is the kind of red wine that will go well with a wide assortment of foods.”
